Philately from Australia has been published continuously from 1949 and is posted free to all members each quarter.
In July 1948, Australia’s most famous stamp collector Bill Purves outlined his ideas to the RPSV for a new quarterly journal. He conceived the idea for a magazine devoted to philatelic research which had been missing from the Australian stamp scene for many years.
Bill Purves introduced readers to Philately from Australia in March 1949 and so began the longest published philatelic journal in Australia, and one of the oldest continuously published stamp magazines in the world.
Philately from Australia is published in four instalments with advanced research dedicated to Australia and Oceana. Hard copy magazines are delivered to all members, or members can choose to download a digital copy. The RPSV quarterly journal is widely recognised around the world as the premier source of original research for Australian philately and is included free as part of your membership.
