Philately from Australia - Our Official Journal
Philately from Australia has been published continuously from 1949 and is posted free to all members each quarter. A high-quality colour magazine, it contains a wealth of information about Victorian, Australian and world-wide philately. The Society also publishes works of philatelic importance.
Exchange Branch
The Exchange Branch offers members the opportunity to buy from and sell to other members. Exchange books circulate regularly within Australia to all members who request them. These books remain in circulation until the Exchange Superintendent considers that the maximum sales have been achieved. Members are invited to take advantage of the favourable sale conditions prevailing and submit exchange sheets for the circuits. Blank sheets are available from the Exchange Superintendent, or a template can be downloaded from this website. An insurance fund operates to protect owners.
Exhibits
It is the Society’s policy to obtain the best collections, often from other states and overseas, available for displays at meetings. These, along with addresses and discussions by leading philatelists, enable members to continuously advance their philatelic knowledge. Click here to view exhibits

Forgery Collection
Starting in 1905, the Society has built up a reference forgery collection and it has now reached substantial proportions. The collection may be viewed by arrangement with the custodian.
Journals and Periodicals
The Society receives many of the leading philatelic journals from around the world. These are available for perusal at all meetings of the Society and openings of the library.
The Bourse
Every year, the Society conducts a Bourse at our Ashburton premises. Philatelic material can be purchased from dealers and Society members. The library offers publications for sale at greatly reduced prices.
